Marinated
and Grilled Shrimp
(4-6 servings)
2 lbs large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/3 cup sherry
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup sesame seed oil
1/3 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground ginger
Combine all ingredients except shrimp in a
shallow dish, and mix well. Add shrimp and toss gently to coat;
cover. Chill for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
Drain shrimp and reserve
marinade. Place shrimp on skewers with veggies (canned potatoes,
cherry tomatoes, etc.) if desired, or directly on grill. Grill
over medium hot coals 3 to 4 minutes per side, basting frequently with
reserved marinade.
Tip: I use a large
resealable plastic bag for marinating. |
